The CL-NEPPA Webinar Series is being offered to help NEPPA professionals better understand the evolving role of DER on the power system and the impact of DER on the planning and operation of the local distribution system.

This webinar is intended to be “entry-level” and a survey coverage of topics in the interest of acquainting managers and professionals in various disciplines (not just electric system engineering) about DERs on the local distribution system.

Note: Participants will be awarded one (1.0) Professional Development Hour (PDH) upon completion of this webinar.

Your Webinar Leaders:

R. John Miner, P.E. John is President and owner of Collaboration Unlimited and Collaborative Learning, Inc. since 1995 and has worked as a management consultant since 1987, providing services to clients in the electric, water, wastewater and communications utility industries. He lives and works out of Austin, Texas and Cedar, Michigan.  John consults with utilities throughout the United States in a wide range of areas related to business strategy, governance, performance management, organizational development, engineering, and operations. He is nationally known and respected for his subject area knowledge of utility enterprises and his skills as a consultant and facilitator.

 

John Cerulli, P.E.  John is Principal Engineer, System Planning and Protection with Leidos.  he is a registered professional engineer with 29 years of experience in electric utility distribution engineering. John obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, and a Master of Science in Power System Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.  At Leidos, John performs Distributed Energy Resources (DER) interconnection impact studies and distribution planning services for utilities across the United States.
